Are you looking for a way to enhance the customer experience of your hot stone massages? Consider using marble massage stones (cold stones) as a finishing touch to your hot stone massage. You can place these stones on your client's eyes to provide a revitalizing and refreshing sensation at the end of the massage.
Additionally, you can use them for the waterfall technique, where a series of warm strokes is followed by a series of cooling strokes on the same area.

Basalt Stones for Hot Stone Massages

Basalt stones are volcanic stones with a high hardness, allowing them to retain heat effectively. The massage stones should not be too smooth or too rough—they need to glide well over the skin while providing some resistance to promote deeper relaxation for the client. The stones also vary in weight, which allows for different uses. For example, the sensation of removing a heavier stone from the client provides an additional soothing effect.

Polished or Natural Massage Stones?

Although basalt stones may appear similar in photos, the quality of hot stone massage stones can vary. Some stones are polished into shape, while others are hand-selected in their natural form. While polished basalt stones may not retain heat as well as natural stones, they distribute pressure more evenly during the massage.
